Reading Reaction # 4

My favorite place is on a lake in the mountains. This lake has to be blue water with a lot of fish in it but has to be big enough to go boating on it. I would plan on nice not to hot but just warm climate all the time no changing just the same temperature all the time. I would want to have a cabin on the sandy beach and have a couple of my friends living out there too. This is my dream place and I don't think anyone can change my mind.

Reading Reaction # 3

A time when I felt grown up is when my brother and I were working out at the gym and I found a money clip on the ground. Well my brother was telling me that we just got free money and I said no way we can't take that. As I was turning it to the front desk a guy came to the counter and said, have you found a money clip with forty dollars in it. I turned to him and said yes I found it I just brought it in. He was really happy and he gave me twenty dollars and said wow no one else would have done that. This is when I felt a lot older.

Reading Reaction # 2

My dad is in to older cars and well when we used to sit down and start working on them I did not know any of the terms but I knew how to fix them and what was wrong with them. So I started to read the parts and have my dad say what the parts were and tell me how they work. Now I can do pretty much anything on a car and I will have no problem and I can tell you just about everything on one.

Journal topic # 29

The best way to study I think is to wake up and eat a good breakfast. Then go see what you have to study by getting all the materials out on your desk. Next go with some friends and play a sport or go work out at the gym to get some energy out. Third of all come back and start studying for two hours then take a snack break and come back and study for another two hours. Go take good long run and start asking someone to test you on the materials to see if it sunk in or not. Last go take the test the next day or you might forget it all well i know that's what happens to me.

I think the best experience I had this semester was making all the friends were I live. Last semester I got into a few fights with people and got kicked out of my dorms. I had to move to my friends house a ways a way but I had fun living with him. He had to much school work to make friends or go places with me. This semester I moved back to the dorms cause my mom talked to them and now everything is going good. Now I have many friends that live in different places so this summer will be fun. By going on trips with them or just going to there houses.

Reading Reaction # 1

Daniel likes to fulfill his day by teaching first graders and pretty much doing a day care job. He enjoys helping kids a lot to get them to write there name for the first time. He likes helping them get stuff around the class room and get a smile from them or a laugh every time he sees them. Don't get me wrong he has a lot of kids and that means a lot of stressful/exhausting days. He will still love it just becuase of how much he gets back by helping.

This summer is going to be a lot of fun. When I get out of school I am staying at my place in Chico until my new place is ready to move everything into it so I don't have to do it when I come back. After that, I am moving back home for a month to hang out with my parents and work for a contractor that I have been working for. In the time that I am there I am going to my grandpas house to work on his ranch to help him out he is 92 years old and he can't do that much. I am also going to be going to Arizona with my friends for a rode trip to see some of our friends. If we go its going to be a long drive but its with my five really good friends from high school. In July I am moving down to Mary Mount Junior College to make up two class for next year to aloso help me see if maybe I wanted to move down there for a four year college. I have a lot planned so I don't know if I can do it all but if I can it would be fun.

Are environment is really important to me because we need it to last as long as it has for me. We have kept it some what well but we are all letting it slide a little bit. Just because our country looks good well it affects us over seas and also just right down the border. We need to start cleaning up and getting better ways of transportation rather then these big cars that put off so many fumes from the engine. Everyone needs to help out not just one part of the country it has to be all or nothing and I don't think anyone likes the outcome of what will happen.
How I protect the environment myself is when I drive to school I car pool with one other person that lives in my house. I drive every other day and my car is new so it does not pollute that much. I also recycle all our cans and plastic bottles that helps a lot I think right there when people just throw everything away it just makes our lives worse and more dangerous. I think if we all just did a little bit for our community we would not have any problems.

Journal Topic # 22

A superstion of my friend, is when he is around ladders he will not walk under any of them. We were painting my house for my parents and I was walking under the ladder with paint and he got really mad at me for doing it. I did not think anything of it so I just kept on working qand painting. When my dad came out and said hey you guys better not be walking under those ladders or you will be sorry. Well belive it or not but later that day I spilt paint all over me and nocked the ladder over too. This is all in the same day and there was nothing I could do. So now this is why I consider it one of mine own superstions too.
I have another superstion too. I do belive in friday the 13th. I will never do anything with my friends on the friday the 13th. Just because of one time when we went out to a golf course. My friend decided to steal a golf cart to ride around on. Well long story short we got caught for it and arested. My mom had to come down to the station and pick me up. Well my friend had to pay 15000 dallors because of his stupidity. I did not get in trouble that bad becuse I did not do it. So the cops did not do anything to me. But my parents grounded me for a month it sucked.

Jounal Topic # 20

The best thing about my home town Pleasanton is living right by everything. I live close to Santa Cruz and I live close to San Francisco. So it makes everything a lot more fun because I have a lot of places to go and have fun. I always go to the beach and go body surfing with my friends and family. We also go to the SF all the time to. I like to go to the clubs and concerts out there. A couple of my freinds live there so I always have a place to stay and they never care. My dad works there so I know the city pretty well compared to a lot of people. Sometimes I meet my dad for lunch. So I always have fun in the bay.
The thing I hate about my town is the police. In my town there are a lot of cops and they have nothing to do so they pull the teenagers over and give us stupid tickets. I always get pulled over everytime I go somewhere in pleasanton and some times they don't give me anything. If there were less cops then there would not be a proplem with my town.

Things that make me happy are many things in my life. One of the things that makes me happy is to make my parents happy. That's a big key right now they are paying for my college and for I guess everything. My favorite thing to do is to dirt bike that makes me so happy but lately I have not been able to go riding because I do not have a place to store it . But, when I go home I ride with all my friends. I also like to work out everyday when I do not work out then I am not the same person I am lazy the whole day then. I can be mean if I do not go to the gym. When I go I am just great for the rest of the day. Some days I like to go hiking up and around big hills or mountains. That's something I do a lot. I also just like to chill with my friends and just do something fun. Once we made a Jackass film and that was a lot of fun. We had lots of people and a lot of time. We worked on it for like a year just filming stupid stunts and everyone would choose which one was the most hilarious. Well thats some stuff that makes me happy.

Journal topic # 19

What would you need on a deserted island and how much of it? Well if it is a rainy island a humid then I would bring a lighter not matches cause matches get wet and then they are ruined. The next thing I would bring is purified water so I would be safe on the drinking water. The last thing I would bring a couple of books on stuff i can make over a fire and what is safe to eat.
Now if I was on a island that was hot not as nice as the first one. I would just bring canned foods for eating because the food on an island is not as at home that's my guess at least. I would also bring water for drinking and cooking with. I would also bring some type of knife or a hatchet. But when I get off the island I would go beck and open a hotel on it if it was a nice island.

Journal topic # 12

How has the world changed since I was born? Well since then I was two feet tall the perspective of everything has changed. So the height of things changed and same with how tall I am changed. Seeing things in a different height always matters because people give you more respect and chances to try something that you would not be allowed to do if you were two feet tall.
I got a lot more mature so all the little immature things in my life have changed. Like cutting the crust off my sandwich, yeah I don't do that anymore. Like making forts with my brothers in my backyard I do not do that anymore. Screaming and yelling at my parents I can't do anymore because I am to old for it. But, playing with my neighbors will never get old I still do that when I go home.
Some of the material things that have changed pretty drastically. One is the gas prices something that we have, it has never been this high before it is pretty pathetic if you ask me and the fact that we are running out of gas is a big thing right now too. Are price of our dallor has gone up, it is worth a lot more now. Minimum wage has went ski high it was never this high before.
The thing inside me that has never changed is being nice to people I will never stop. Its just something I can not stop. Being a good friend and brother and son will never change. I plan to change the way in school being a lot better student and get good grades. Thing that have changed and that have not changed.

Journal topic # 11

One of my favorite memories from when I was in second grade was when I broke my arm. Every Christmas day we would go to my grandparents on my dads side of the family and this was a big night for everyone we get to see all of our cousins that we do not get to see very often. This day we were driving over to my grandparents house right after we opened our presents. When we got there my dad was parking the car and we all are still in it well he stopped so I opened the car and then the side door on our van hits my arm. I was screaming at the top of my lungs it hurt so bad. When my dad finally realized what he did he felt so bad, but it wasn't his fault. when I went inside everyone is standing there looking at me I was crying. When they called the hospital the hospital was so full but we still went anyways. When we got there they put my arm in a splint to stop some of the pain. My dad had to bring me to a clinic that was still open to have it checked out. They told us the hospital put a left handed splint on a right arm and that's why it was still hurting so much. After they took x-rays it was broken in two places so when we were done we went back to my grandparents house and ate dinner and hung out with everyone. This was a good experience for my parents I was the first to brake my arm in the family I was proud. I will always remember this moment in my life.

Someone I am close to is my good friend Jill. She is a friend I will always have no matter what. She dates my friend Chris and I am always there for her when they get in a fight. I used to live with chris last semester and really I moved in pretty much with the both of them. Jill was always there which was fun because I experienced living with a girl. She kept the house really clean but always make me clean random stuff in the house that did not need cleaning. The thing I like about my best friend is she is there when I need to ask a question about a girl or just someone to hangout with with little to no drama. I have felt that she helps me out more then I help her out.
I have known her for three four years and I felt like I have known her like my whole life. She is really close to me and I think thats because I am close to my friend Chris. They are always together which is cool. I plan to keep being close to my friend Jill for as long as possible.

Jounal topic # 8

When I was in 6th grade i had really close group of friends that loved to hang out every friday. We are one of the ones that never had to meet people we had people meeting us. Thats how middle school was for me and high school. I just always had the same group of friends. But, when I was in 6th grade I had a friend named chad he was one of my closer friends we used to hang out all the time and do stupid stuff togetter; played foot ball together and baseball. One day he went on the trip in the summer of 7th grade and he was not wearing a seat belt and got killed. His brother fell asleep at the front wheel and ran off the road. I herd the news and I just did not believe it i thought my friends were lying to me about it. When i went to school the next day my teacher Ms. Kelly came up to me and asked if I was ok about my friend chad. Thats when my heart dropped he was only twelve years old. Ms. Kelly just helped me out the rest of the year and was like a good friend to me and she started coming to my house and became friends with my mom. When my friend died she bought a tree and planted it out in front of the school thats what I think a really good teacher is someone who cares about other peoples feelings.
My older brother started getting in to drungs and Ms. Kelly was always there to help my mom out if you don't know I have 3 brothers that makes 4 boys ya no girls. My dad works a lot so everything kinda depended on my mom for everything. But that is what I think a good teacher is someone who cares.

Journal topic # 3

My dream job requires a job that first of all pays good and can support a wife and kids. It needs to have a secretary and not me to do all the desk work I do not do well at desk jobs. It also needs to be a job that is a physical job. I right now work part time as a apprentice for a contractor I like it a lot and I like the people that are in the trait. I also like working on my grandpa's ranch that's a blast working caddle driving tractors. I once worked on my grandpa's ranch for a whole summer it was fun. The money was not good at all but I enjoyed it its probably not something I would want to go into just because there is not much money involved in ranching anymore. But, I would like to maybe work in contracting it is a lot of fun and they money is really good I have noticed if you stay up on all the projects. I plan to stay in school and figure out what I might want to go into. Right now my main focus in school I do not really care about working right now.
I have worked many jobs in high school so I am used to working food and those are not my kind of style for making money. I used to work at Subway, the sandwich shop and that was alright all my friends used to come in and make fun of me about it. I also worked at Papa Murphy's pizza for a year in high school too it was a fun job I had a good boss and the people I worked with were cool people. So I just need to stay in school and fiugure out what I want to go into.

Journal topic # 2

I find it hard to figure out how to balance my time everyday with out getting off topic. Friends can come in the way, a class or two can really make me get off topic because I might might be thinking about homework or a project. I am fortunate to not have to pay for school so I am not worried about money like a big population of college students. But, I just have to stay on top of my school work that's the most important thing in my life right now. I have a quit place to study and read so that's not an issue. All my roommates go to Chico state so there a big help with studying and if I need help I can get it. I need to learn how to change my bad habits by using my time wisely. When i usually get home from class I am just lazy after that I need to do all my school work during the day night time I just can not study or do homework. All my friends call or come over so its a little distracting but i need to cope with it.
My parents are really counting on me to do well in school my older brother kinda screwed it up for me because he did not do very well his freshman/sophomore years so they really are looking to see if i am doing well in all my class's. I also work out at the gym everyday so that takes up like two hours of my day and that is something that's really important to me is staying fit. I don't know how I can stay up on working out but when it comes to school work it is a totally different thing.

Journal topic # 1

I have never really been challenged in school. I never really tried I always took the easy way out. I always have had the help at home and at school in a program called resource. I have always struggled in school that's what made me take advantage of all the accommodations in school I know i needed some of them, but a lot of them were just because i was lazy and wanted to hang out with my friends instead.
My goals for this semester are to pass all my class's and learn how to study on my own. I plan to work on self discipline with all my school work and take control of any problems that may come in the way. I plan to move on to all the new levels in school for my next semester. I would like to raise my reading level to help my school work and just so i can read faster and not have such a limited vocabulary.
My expectations for this course are just to have someone look at all my work before turning it in. I would like to have maybe a little more time on the test if i needed it. I am somewhat of a slow reader and i cant comprehend everything so it may take me a couple of times to understand what I am reading. Besides that I should be fine in school I can't really depend on the instructor to help me its all on my own to ask for help. I think this is going to be a good semester.
